He is a foremost expert on font-goodness. Were I to meet him face-to-face I’d ask him why he was standing so close to me cue rimshot. Only joking – I’d like to talk with him for hours about the ins&outs of serifs and other fonty stuff.

How is it you know so much about whether fonts are bad or not?

I went up to the corner drug store and had exact change for my potato chips! I was even able to “leave a penny”. Sometimes, it’s just like things fall into place just right.

I think Piers’s’s’s keen eye for fonts and what makes them “good” or “bad” is what makes him such a compelling figure in contemporary society. (I am, of course, talking about Font Sick.)

If I could meet him (in actual person) I would probably want to ask him about his experiences tracking the elusive Monochromatic Peewit (if such a thing exists). But that’s just me.
